Just added some rain guards. Only $26 on Amazon. Wish they were a little longer to meet in the middle, but but for the price, I'm happy.

Got a dashcam for my birthday with front and rear camera. Apeman C4200. Running the wire to the back was super easy, just ran it along the roof line behind the door seals, took all of 30 minutes.

Looks good! You'll have to give us updates. Looks like they aren't all that expensive, too! Not knocking your birthday gift as being cheap, however! Someone must be very thoughtful & like you! If you bought the birthday gift for yourself, I'll shut up now & remove the foot from my mouth later!

My wife got it for me :-). The version with the rear camera is $60, the one without the rear camera is about $35 on Amazon. No GPS or speedomter, but I don't really care for those features anyway (at least in a dash cam). I was able to get my 128gb micro-SD card to work with it with no problems.

Decided to try my hand at installing some aftermarket speakers I got for Christmas. Yes, I did order the brackets, but no it still was not easy. The speakers I got were a little too big on the back-end so I had to get creative. The only way I could get these to fit was installing them upside-down (to allow the terminals more space) and using rubber feet (standoffs) to push the speaker slightly further out from the bracket. Thankfully, there is still enough clearance for the door panel to go back on without any issues. They sound amazing! Definitely louder and better treble response. With any 3-way speaker setup however, you lose bass so I am opting to keep the rear speakers stock until I can get my hands on a dedicated subwoofer and amp. I am still using the factory head unit.

I have those exact speakers in my car I had a shop install them though and they cut off the adapters from the stock speakers, it worked fine. I also added an under seat sub woofer to give it some real bottom end without shaking my filling out. All told it's a great setup. Your cars coming along very nicely!

Thanks! Which seat did the subwoofer go under? I assume the passenger?
