New looks for little investment (Pics of your Mirage mods welcome here)

    -Tinted windows (~$30 DIY)
    - Lowered front about just less than an inch. (~$20 spring clamps)
    - Graphics on side (~$12 two rolls of 6'x6" carbon fiber imitation stickers cut to my liking)
    - Smooth wheel covers DIY did not cost me anything just my time making them and some zip ties.

    Post your modded Mirage pics!

That's a beautiful grill block. How did you make it?

Question, why did you block the flow of air to your radiator?
Seems like a not very smart thing to do..

Looks good. The graphic on the side really ads some flare to the car.
Custom Mirage products: Cruise control kit, Glove box light, MAF sensor housing, Rear sway bar, Upper grill block

Current project: DIY Nitrous oxide setup for ~$100

Thanks! Leftover sheet plastic from wheel covers. It is two pieces because I did not have a long enough piece to make it out of one. A little english wheel action to curve it and I was trimming the edges with scissors to fit.

Remember the foam strips from before? Well I hot glued blocks of it to the back side of the sheets,so they are pushed in between the grill slots and expand on the back side to hold the cover on. I have to pull pretty good to remove it so they are not going to fall off. Painted flat black.

I understand your concern Mistah! Let me put it this way. To begin with, it does not block all airflow to the radiator. Toward the middle where it ends, there is about 3/4" (19mm) gap from top to bottom before the factory grill block continues to the other side.

The top air intake (or "letter slot" as fifteenwindow called it) is completely open.
When the engineers design these openings, they are made to handle the worst case scenario.
For example after a high speed interstate run the drivetrain is fully warm and we come up on a stop and go traffic jam with no airflow to speak of in the middle of summer on blacktop roads.

I drive at very light engine loads so most of the air entering there just goes to creating unnecessary drag on the car.

If the extreme heat scenario ever happens to me,I will just pull them out of the grill. Untill then I leave them in for faster warm up and better aerodynamics.

Thanks Tim! I got the idea from my wife's fiesta which came with one! It made it look a lot better than other fiestas I've seen so I figured I'll try and see if it works on the mirage.
    Here's the fiesta:
