You got the means and know how to hammer that out by all means do it, but dont feel like you have to. Our steel rim on the G4 is bent worse than that in 2 places and the expert at Discount Tire said dont worry about it, steels can take a beating and the integrity of your tire on it is fine.

No, it left a flat spot so the wheel is bouncing. It's similar on both sides, so it needs to be malled back round and rebalanced.

I've already repaired it and installed the back winter in its place, and a summer on the rear.

I'll spin it at work on Monday and put all three tires back where they belong.

What exactly did you hit? And what psi do you keep tires at?

Probably a pothole. There are some big ones around here. Wife hit one in her car a few years ago, it bent the wheel so much the tire went flat instantly. The compressor and slime in the trunk didn’t do much good that day.

Pothole that was very literally pot shaped (bottomless and maybe 2' long). Hit it at around 70km/h, and somewhere between 30 and 38 psi. Probably around the higher end, it was the end of the drive, they should have warmed up. Weather has been crazy lately, a 28 psi tire is 38 in the late afternoon (-15C to 15C some days)

Geez. Lucky you didn't need a wrecker to pull you out. What are the general road conditions on the Great White North? Vary by province/territory like our states?
