Happy New Year Chad! Good to hear from you, I was getting worried. How's the Juro running?
Love your avatar too by the way! Sir Michael Caine is one of the truely last badasses around.
I was born worried Dirk Thanks for asking. The Mental Mirage is going well, about to create a post on a long 'un from here to London.
Michael Caine (Maurice Micklewhite) comes from my manor, Camberwell, South East London. He's a diamond geezer that has that London sense of humour which he has retained. I love the geezer.

Most definitely sir! My favorite film he did was his first one, Zulu. Great true story how a handful of English soldiers could fight off hordes of Zulu warriors 100x their number. I loved how Pvt. Hook, the derelict in the hospital, won a Victoria Cross for his actions.
Just PM'd you Eggman re your location. I worked in Holborn in the early 70's, some fascinating places around Holborn. I love The British Museum it's a great place, they have acres of space under the museum that's crammed full of historical objects not seen by the public. Doughty Street just around the corner was the home, now museum of Charles Dickens.
Enjoy your time there. I miss it, always something to do.

True Londoners are quite unique. Yeah there are some mischievious individuals like in every place. We enjoy a good laugh and get through and by with optimism powered by a sense of humour. In times of stress a Londoner, a true Londoner, sees the funny side and perseveres and overcomes. My father went to school with Max Bygraves (a deceased London entertainer) who told me of the things they got up to in the 2nd world war. Others would flock around a few londoners just to get a laugh and give hope.
We won't 'throw' you out as long as you behave yourself.
