Longtime lurker, finally have a reason to post a new topic. I bought a 2014 Mirage in March of 2014. It turns out that Mitsubishi changed the antenna design in April 2014 to from strange to standard. I had the antenna mast fall off my Mirage.
It is a weird design that seems to have a collet rather than a thread. Pictures below. Has anyone worked on one of these? The collet seems to be incredibly tight and appears to be fiberglass reinforced plastic, so I have been afraid to break it. The mast is part number MR965508 (part 1 in diagram) and apparently is discontinued. I ordered one from Ebay. Has anyone worked on one of these?
Any information would be appreciated.
