Anyone experienced any "soft" or delayed engagement on CVT?

    Hi,

Just experienced weird shifting on my mirage. Its a CVT. And it seems less tactile when shifting from N to reverse and does not engage as fast as before

    Anyone experienced this?

How many miles is on your Mirage now? You have a 2014 correct? If you’ve never had any service done on your CVT I would highly recommend a fluid change at the minimum and it would be in your long term interest to do the full filter change (both of them) along with new fluid.

There is a TSB on CVT reprogramming that is available. Members have reported better drivability afterwards. Check your fluid levels though using the procedure found in the owners manual. Changing the upper filter does not require a drain of CVT fluid.

I’d print it out and take it with me to the dealer.

Just an update... I think i know the cause of the shifting issues.. It looks to be this bushing on the shift lever. Looks like it cracked.. This pic is from an acquaintance who had the same issues.

Does anybody know the part number of the assembly it is in?

    Here is a pic
