Hi eggman, the problem was that the airfilter was so dirty the engine cant breathe anymore. I bought a washable airfilter that you can just blow dirt off and reuse it but the problem was im just using a low powered airblower to clean it and it wasnt cleaning properly.
I normally just blow it off with my airblower before but not anymore. Now, i use those highpowered ones and see all of those dirt flies off the filter. Im planning to soaked it in with water and some dishwashing liquid for those tough to remove dirt and just dry it overnight and blow the remaining dirt with high pressure blower.
Glad you got it figured out. Personally, I always thought K&Ns were gimmicky, overpriced bull$hit.
I sort of feel the same way. It's ok for some items to be disposal. Toilet paper, Kleenex, and engine air filters come to mind. I tossed my engine air filter & replaced it @ 30,000 miles.
The fact that K&N makes cleaning products for their filters sort of confirms why I am not interested in their products. Replacing an engine air filter is easy, & it's not all that expensive of a maintenance item to do.
