Your not concerned about winter driving in Appalachia? Those twists and turns?

    Nah. Its flat here

I'm actually in town where I live now. Work is 6 minutes away. No hills at all. Now if go out to my Dad's, then lots of hills and turns. But the coldest in 5 years here got to 27 degrees Fahrenheit. So, to be honest, I'm not too worried really. And no snow either. Barely any coverage.

Got the wheels and tires on

Giving an update, took a while, but finally got them all done and put on the car. Saved 21 pounds in total. Traction believe it or not is better than what I had before. Probably where the tires are new. But, I'm happy with them.

Well that's something! I've read a few random blog comments from people who think the Mirage's stock wheels/tires look too small. They need to see yours!

But seriously... what are your driving impressions?

And sorry if this came up, but what's the tire circumference vs. stock?

I looked up his tires some time ago. There are 22.5" (factory tires are 22.4" & 22.6").

In all honesty, they don't look all that different than factory tires to me. I wonder if the rims have a much different offset, because the wheels seem to be fairly flush to the outside of the fenders?

I guess that I am saying the stance of the wheels look good to me!

Personally, I would rather drop 25 pounds off my body instead!

But he lost that in rotational weight (or whatever’s the scientific phrase for lighter wheels/tires). Isn’t that supposed to be comparable to twice the body weight or something? (Sorry, brain is off for the day)

I say take a blue Sharpie to those lug nuts and it’ll look swank!

The Advanti Racing Storm S1 in 15x7 weighs under 11lbs.

I realize some rims are quite light, but 15" x 7" rims would be best suited for 195-225 wide tires. Some members have had issue with 195 wide tires rubbing. Are you using these rims on your Mirage? If so, what tires are you using?

7" wide rims are wider than the rims on my 2011 Forester. I guess some make 7" wide rims work on a Mirage, but this thread is about someone who mounted skinny 135SR14 tires on his Mirage. Outside diameter is perfect (22.5") for that odd size, however. Factory tires are either 22.4" or 22.6".

Still happy with your new tire package?
