2021 Mirage walkaround video - Montreal auto show '20

I came across this video of the new Mirage that is to be sold in Canada shortly. I am not sure I am stuck on the new front grill, but I do like the new rims. The reworked back bumper looks more sporty, and I can almost see new Civic lines on some of the "edgy" or dynamic shield design in Mitsubishi speak.

Thanks, Eggman. That's the video. Worth a watch. I'm still not sold on the new design.

I'm curious what small differences (trim options) there will be between the US, Canadian and European models once the 2021 starts selling.

On another note, I love the taillights on the 2021 model!

They removed the side fender markers!

Ya they got rid of the side fender markers. Those were side blinkers before that, like on my 2014 Mirage ES. Then the blinkers went on to the side mirrors, all integrated on there, and they put the side fender markers on there to plug the hole.

On the bumper, I wonder if those are reflectors, and not lights?? The red skinny ones there. Reflectors, or do they light up.

Another weird change is the plaid interior, and then the red grill... will that work with every Mirage's paint colour, I don't know. We will have to wait and see what colours the new Mirage model is coming in.

I say bring back plasma purple, and the dark wine red looks really good, so keep that Mitsubishi.

I liked the 2 tone Mirage's they had last year. You never saw them much on the streets of Canada, but the Mirage in white, and with orange accents like the spoiler, is the nicest Mirage I've seen for sure. I saw one online with orange door handles.

I honestly like the mailbox slot grill from ~'13-'15: looks simple, clean and efficient. 2021 looks heavy, unnecessarily complicated (read expensive), and less aerodynamic.
They could tuck that rear view camera anywhere and they leave it obtrusively out in the open...an unsightly, off-center 'nose' on the hatch.

I've already told my girl Im getting that new facelift in yellow in like 2024, when I can get it used. Hopefully the resale value will still be crappy.
