Mirage + ScanGauge users: what are your settings/calibration?

Anybody want to share their SG settings?

    I'm using:

    - Speed +0% (the computer is accurate for speed and distance... just the speedometer needle is a bit high)

    - Fuel use +10%

I've only filled up 4 times, so I'm still dialing in the fuel offset.

I mostly use the SG to monitor instant MPG and coolant temp. And also to remind me that the Mirage's speedometer reads high.

On my last 2 fills, the factory "B" MPG gauge was 3-4% optimistic (compared to manual distance vs. pump calculation), which is the same as I saw in the two other Mirages I tested courtesy of Mitsubishi Canada. (The B gauge will be off by even more if you regularly kill the engine via the key while coasting/stopped, as opposed to a kill switch. I saw +8% on one tank.)

    excessive "9999" MPG

Also: anybody else noticed the SG is prone to displaying "9999" (no fuel burn) for many seconds longer than it should after doing an engine kill or after deceleration fuel cut-off?

IE: it's still displaying 9999 when you're back on the gas.

    ---

UPDATE: you can fix this by adjusting the fuel cut-off setting.

So that's why you set up this website. Now it all makes sense.

Not sure why you bought a Mirage just to sell ScanGauges though...

I had no idea you guys sold these things. Guess I've been living under a rock.

I have never used my SG to track fuel mileage. I don't know why...just never tried it.

I have mine set up to display...

    1. instant fuel economy
    2. volts
    3. water temperature
    4. intake air temperature (I'm running a warm air intake)

It only polls the computer every 2 seconds or something. I have mine set on fast refresh and it's still pretty slow. For getting instant MPG the OBD1 Mpguinos do a much better job.

For the few tanks I had it on my Mirage last summer I had it calibrated to +2.9% Fuel consumption.

And a sidenote, it annoys me that they always turn off and don't come back on on those rare occasions when you stall and immediately restart. And I envy your pictures, mines an old one(2013) that only displays 2 stats.

    Hello all,
. . . . I bought the ScanGauge today from Autozone. It worked correctly right off the bat. It was easy to setup. I modified my Bezel and I will reinstall it tomorrow. I offset the ScanGauge off to the far left. I'll take a picture tomorrow.
    GOD Bless and Thanks,
    rich!

Congrats on the SG. You'll love it. I know it feels weird to me driving a car now that doesn't have one. I have one in both of my vehicles. Looking forward to seeing how you mounted yours. I mounted mine with a small 3d printed bracket.
