Nearly every Mirage or G4 in NY (is missing at least one hubcap)

2019 ES Orange Mirage owner came up to me and said wow you have all your hubcaps... Then I started thinking... Nearly every Mirage or G4 in NY with factory hubcaps are missing 1 to all. We switched our factory ones a while ago... It's amazing how difficult it was to remove the factory ones without damaging them but come across the right pothole they fly away.

Our society is driven by image lots of people think Mitsubishi is bottom rung seeing all these Mirages missing hubcaps doesn't help Mitsubishi's image.

The fellow Mirage owner asked does she have to worry about the rest of the car falling apart so easily? I told her the car would be reliable if she serviced properly. Mentioned the forum and aftermarket options.

zipties can help the missing hubcap epidemic. They look kinda ghetto but which is worse missing a hubcap or two or a ziptie or two holding them on?

This is a plague not only experienced by Mirages, but also by Toyota Yaris cars. Every Yaris I see with plastic hub caps is missing at least one.

    I'm not sure I've seen a 2014-2015 Mirage with all 4 matching OEM hubcaps...lol.

Usually one or more is missing, or it has 4 wheel covers from the Fast N Furious aisle at Pep Boys...

The zip tie thing seems like a great idea.

I still got my originals on the green hatch for sale, but their spray painted black. I double ziptie all the hubs, barely noticeable.

Double zip tie worked for me. In my 6 months one came off due to a pothole and another got lost at some point. I ordered another and vowed to double zip since then.

I hope I don't lose any of the hubcaps off my wife's Mirage. I like them, think they look nice. But once one is lost, she's getting four new alloy rims.

If I was her, I would toss a hubcap in the garbage!
