Mine is all between 2-3000 doing between 50-60mph, I blame it on traffic, weather and wind. On my way to work there's hardly any traffic and I can get a decent readout on the lieometer usually keeping rpm under 2000rpm at 50-55mph, on the way home different story traffic sucks, stop and go for 10 mins then get moving til becoming stuck behind the infamous left lane moron who speeds up when there's a spot to pass on the right then slows down when next to slower traffic. It's always a guy with a dash cam too just waiting to get some good footage of someone flipping out on them as they play innocent. End rant!

Any chance these gas stations you mention have the alcohol content of the fuel listed on the pumps? The higher the alcohol content, the lower your fuel mileage. But it would take a lot of alcohol to account for the 10% mileage difference you are seeing.

That's the only thing I can think of IF all other factors (ambient temperature, driving style, driving conditions) are the same.

I have noticed this. In the winter, I get 5.7 L/100 km's on Shell gas. And then the weeks I fill up w PETRO Canada gas, I seem to get better economy. More like 5.3 L/100 km's. Only in winter does anything seem different.

I get 4.4 to 4.8 L / 100 kms or high 50 mpgs in the summer. On all gas brands. But in the winter the digital gas gauge goes quicker with Shell. I dunno

My Mirage is a 5 speed, and the revs on the freeway are higher than CTV Mirages. So, if I go over 125 km's an hour or like 70 mph, I get worse fuel economy no matter what.

I'm doing 70 to 75 everyday in hilly Atlanta, so I'm basically always at 3000rpm. I thought that was the number the A392 likes, manual or 5speed? Not accounting mpg, just performance.

If I'm doing 75 I'm doing 3750 in top gear. Still getting about 40mpg though.

Drops to 36-37mpg at 4000rpm, drops to 30mpg once I start pushing past 4500 (90-95mph). If you hold 100mph it sits just a hair south of 27 (by the gauge, obviously never done a full tank at a hundred)

Ethanol had 60% the energy as gasoline so E10 has 96% the energy as pure gas.

Does this happen if you go to the same low mpg gas station repeatedly? If you're parked on a downward tilt you might be getting more gas in the tank making that tank "lower" mpg on paper.

Ya eh, the Mirage is a city car. I don't think the Mirage is "meant" for 75 mph.
