    DRL Control Box Failure

    Hi

I'm writing from the turkey. I can't find the answer to my question:
I have 2015 mirage g4. The led drl has stopped working, the led control box was faulty. This module not found in turkey. (It did not help Mitsubishi turkey)

    Module: WDİ 0960000872 10-18V Dc, 8 W Max

Manufacturer thailand (wichien dynamic industry), I think they are not active. Mailer doesn't arrive.

How can I replace the damaged module. I cannot find the properties of the module.

In addition: Is the Aliexpres drl sets intact? If I get that drl, have a quality problem?

There may be spell mistakes because I'm using translate

Hello Oguzbaba and welcome to the forum.

I'm not familiar with LED DRLs because I don't have them on my Mirage. Hopefully someone will answer with the help you are looking for.

Most probably your DRL are not factory original.
My Mirage has factory original DRL but has no such control box because it is 100% not necessary.
Any car no matter what brand, does not need that control box if the DRL are connected properly!

Don't waste your money for trash not needed.

Please note: LED DRL do not need a control box to work, and do not need a control box to conform with EU road regulation.
That EU regulation says among other things:
    1) the DRL must have a R87 certification number visible on it, and
    2) DRL must always be on when driving lights are off, and
    3) DRL must always be off when when driving lights are on.

Here is an easy way to connect LED DRL without any control box:
The PLUS wire from the DRL LED goes to a 12V source that is only on when ignition is turned on.
The MINUS wire of the LED DRL goes to the PLUS wire of a normal low beam headlight (normal driving light).
That way all works exactly as it is supposed to, and you do not need any control box!
That method is being built countless times in new cars coming from factories, it is simple, cheap, and reliable.

DRL LED Control boxes are an easy way to make extra money from unknowing buyers. They are told to think they are getting a better product than the same product without a control box.

Yea, that module isn't factory but can be replaced with another similar module.

17+ Mirages do have modules though, factory, circled in the picture.

Yeah, a fine example for a revenue maker that nobody needs.

I researched these universal china modules. There are negative comments. (melting, fire hazard, not turning the leds off when the vehicle is closed) The size is quite small, I'm afraid to take it.

Some people said it might be power led, the module is transformer. They stated that the device cannot work without modules. But they don't just sell the module. They sell the full set.

Can you describe how it was wired? Is it directly connected to the battery or through the ignition switch?

Does it switch Off at the same time you switch off the engine or it stays on for a few seconds after you switch off the engine.

Cables are connected to the fuse,
Not directly connected to the battery. (I added a picture)

When you start the engine, the light should be blinking and the light should go out when you turn it off. I remember that there was no delay.
