The GPS module can also be installed on a bracket that goes above the radio if you get one from a 2018+. In all honesty, the radio barely uses the GPS antenna anyway so you could probably just literally stick it to the top of the radio itself and it'll work well enough to set the clock and then not be out on top of the dash.

    Hallo Mr. Fummins

My name is Alex I'm from Austria, I own a Space star/mirage my 20.

I have few questions and need you help:

The connector going in to the mic are there 2 or 3 wires?

Looking in direction of the arrow on the mic unit where are the + and - wires?

Is the microphone harness grounded on the ground point under roof?

Thank you very much and greetings from Vienna, Austria

    Sorry for my poor english!!

Oh, ok. I'll go tear one open and take a look later today. I've got 3 or 4 parts cars now. 2 2017's and 2-2015's all with the headliner mic's. iirc there are 3 prongs on the mic but only 2 wires going to to the plug? Give me a few hours and I'll confirm that.

I posted some wiring schematics of a 2017 Mirage in a different thread that might have some diagrams that you could use. I don't know if they're the same as a 2020 though? A lot of the wiring in our 2017's is different than the 2015's we have.

I just looked at a car, there are 2 wires going to the mic in the roof.(forgot to take my phone) White and black. When looking at the back of the mic with the arrow pointing down the center pin goes to the white wire and the pin on the rh side of the mic is black. Which wire goes where, I don't know, would need to look at a schematic.

14-15 have only two wires to the microphone in the headliner. 18+ have three to the mic and that's what the fancier radio requires. It's why I have the column microphone in my 15 ES and that headliner microphone just chills there doing a whole lot of nothing.

Fancy, the one I looked at was a 2017. I have a 2019 outside I should go tear apart before it gets assigned to another driver.

Might be one of those off differences between US of A and Canuckiland since all 2017's here have the column mounted microphone for the Apple Carplay type radio or they have that odd bluetooth add on kit for the base radio.
