    Mirage SIDS?

So I browse around craigslist and junkyard posts and it seems often there are perfectly good looking mirages of recent years (2018) that are listed as for parts only. What is up with this? Early CVT blowout? Engine failure? Wouldn't it still be covered under warranty anyway?

How does a car like this end up in a junkyard?

Looks new. I like that grille on the 2018s in black, without any extra chrome trim and without the foglights.

Maybe something happened to the car we can't tell from the photos. Something happened to the car's title or paperwork, car can't be insured then I guess.

Could be transmission failure and that car has over 100,000 miles who knows.

Well, if it died from neglect (lack of fluid changes for instance), that wouldn't be covered by the warranty. That car has a whole 22,000 miles on it though, no way it died that soon from neglect unless it spent most of it's life towing another Mirage at redline.

Too bad we don't know the VIN number of the car. A quick Google search may find this car at a recent Copart auction or something.

This car doesn't appear to be a flood vehicle and it doesn't seem to have any body damage based on the photos.

The salvage yard (Harry & Phil's Auto Wrecking in Paterson, NJ) doesn't seem to have a website.

Is that an ad for only parts from the car or the car sold as parts only? Maybe it's gotta nice lien, non repairable status, was crashed then repaired then had the status change after it was repaired?

    It's a G4. Nobody wants a sedan.

That or the ad is a scam?

We don't really get much flood damage in NJ. I suppose the title could be bad. I don't think it's a scam because the place does exist.
