    RIP Meep

3/6/2020 was a sad day for my household.

My son figured in a car wreck early morning that day. He was driving Meep.
The car got rear-ended and that pushed him forward and hit the car in front him.
My son is alright and putting up with his medical and chiropractic appointments.

Meep on the other hand did not fare well as you can see on the photos.
Just got word back from insurance today that they are deeming it total loss.

Right now am struglling to arrange with adjuster how to take off the OEM adjustments I had on Meep (OEM alloy wheels, rubber mats, SE steering wheel with controls, aftermarket stereo with apple carplay).

Ouch, That sucks but glad your son is alright! That's a hard hit.

I wish you the luck getting money for floor mats and steering wheel. Let us know if your insurance company does compensate you for the mods you did.

I never understand states or towns or yards policies on retrieving your property out of your vehicle...

When I had my accident, I went to the tow lot the next day, told the guy I had to retrieve my personal property, and then went to work stripping the car. had to take my UR strut bars off, my enkei wheels, brand new battery, all kinds of things. I didnt ask, I just took a jack and tools and did it. Its the old policy of ask for forgiveness, not permission.

That's a shame mate. Happy your boy is good.
Looks like a bicycle hit the rear end, build quality on a Mirage ain't good.
