    R.I.P. Marsha!

My ex-gf texted me today and said some "asshat" ran a red light and t-boned her Mirage. She is okay, Marsha isn't. I asked if any airbags went off, and she said yes. You can see the curtain airbag has deployed. She also says the car doesn't drive right, and was hit hard enough that the glovebox door won't open anymore.

On a '14 DE with 135,000 miles that has already seen accidents repaired in the front AND rear, that is pretty much a death sentence. The good news is she will be buying another Mirage. I can almost guarantee it will be SUNRISE ORANGE!

Always sad news to hear another Mirage accident. Glad everyone's ok, and I hope insurance covers everything.

Are you gonna salvage those wheels? Get the antenna too.

Glad she is ok! Makes me as a Mirage owner feel safer when they went through an accident like that, and then go out and buy another Mirage.

Not sure if she is planning to keep them, but I told her to at least get paid for them. They are a pretty obvious aftermarket addition to the car. She is annoyed about having to buy new vent visors and mud guards, but she is keeping her WeatherTechs!

Sorry to hear about the car. Feels like we need a dedicated section to Mirage write-offs, but that might be too much sadness in one place, lol.

First of all, it's nice to hear no one was seriously hurt.

A section devoted to write-offs would be interesting. Once a vehicle gets older, I am not opposed to dropping full coverage down to liability only. Every situation is different, but it would be interesting to know the insurance value of a 6-year old Mirage with 135,000 miles. In this case, the other person's insurance should be covering the cost of the vehicle.

RIP. Good to hear she's okay and that the Mirage is safe enough for a T bone.
