    I don't believe that the reasoning for the death rate is pride. I think it is other. And my other is because that the U.S. is a very vivacious type of people, economy, climate. Our ancestors were a brave and vivacious type, and it passes down. Our country is very mobile, we get around. We stir the pot. None of these are bad things. We don't run inside and hunker down to stay warm (as much as other places). And in some countries fewer people have the resources to get out and about and "run around." My theory may be wrong, but I've been wrong before.

    Insinuating that the U.S. is pathetic is a leap.

    I wish we were rich, haha! The rich is only for the rich here in the USA, even though...a lot of 'Muricans think they are part of the club. LOL.

    The 'Individualistic culture' here is insane here compared to other countries. I'm not saying we're a 100% independent culture but it does definitely seem that way because mainstream media puts it that way. There are A LOT of people that help others, regardless of their beliefs or political views too but the media here doesn't want to show that. I couldn't believe how many people in the US were so outraged because of a simple mask mandate though, too lol

    For the most part, people around here are totally okay with the mask mandate. But then again, I shook my damn head when I saw friends/family at a huge gathering without masks.

    It looks like Manitoba is closing a ton of stuff down on thursday https://winnipeg.ctvnews.ca/all-of-m...sday-1.5182370

    "The move to Code Red means the province will be under new restrictions, including:

    Reducing social contacts to your household only. Social gatherings aren’t allowed;
    Restricting travel to and from northern Manitoba. Non-essential travel is discouraged;
    Retail businesses that are listed as critical services, such as groceries and pharmacies, can stay open at 25 per cent capacity;
    Retail businesses that aren’t listed as critical services can only provide e-service, curbside pickup, and delivery;
    Closing all personal service businesses, such as hair salons, barbers, and places offering manicures, pedicures, and other esthetic services;
    Closing religious and cultural gatherings, but they can be provided virtually;
    Closing gyms and fitness centres;
    Closing restaurants to the public. Restaurants can stay open for delivery, drive-thru, and takeout; and
    Closing all recreational activities, sport facilities, casinos, museums, galleries, libraries, movie theatres, and concert halls."

    Time to load up on toilet paper again.

    I think it's pathetic to insinuate wearing a mask is "weak" and "feminine", as others have on this thread. What's with dissing women? Really annoying.

    I must have missed that in this thread. Definitely not needed here. It's definitely the "bro mentality" making themselves think they are more "alpha" but in reality, COVID doesn't care what you are.

    Also, whoever is saying that wearing a mask is seen as "weak" on this forum, needs to think more critically before they type something like that on here lol.

    Nope. Covid virus has had millions of years to perfect its lifecycle.

    Host to host to host.

    True leveler in some ways. Scientists are saying that covid in human sewage might infect whales. Humans: the real plague on this earth. Sorry

    Link that post or posts here. I also missed those.

    I personally don't see masks as weak but I do see the general use of masks to be unsuccessful in stopping a virus. And it's amazing how much more people are touching their faces with a mask on. It's outrageous! And they do so with the same dirty hands they used to touch the door handle of a public bathroom, restaurant, the knob of a faucet, the pen at the bank etc etc.

    The nose is shaped the way it is due to evolution. It sticks out from your face to ensure you can breathe easy and expel things from your body easily. I shake my head at ppl who sneeze directly into their masks! Your body ment to get rid of that sh*t, not re breathe it over and over in your mask. Sneezing into the crook of your elbow, how it's been done for 100's of years, is the right approach. And if you're outside and no ones around, you sneeze right out into the air for cryin out loud.

    I’m a little lost as well. Some people are easily triggered. It’s funny.
