If the driver gets questions, I'm sure he was just using the car to hold the bales of hay/straw down in back.

Thank you, I did a brief search for an existing thread but didn't look long enough.

More likely, the car on top was an easier way to take his personal transportation back with him after dropping off the lorry (If it wasn't his and a one way for the lorry).
