First time seeing the new "Black Edition" mirage

White bear mitsubishi has a picture of the new "Black Edition" mirage. For some reason i thought this was going to be the Ralliart version. Either way i like it. I think it shows Mitsubishi has a bit of a sense of humor putting rally inspired overfenders on the lowest HP new car sold in America.

Are those "flares" a Mitsubishi thing or a white bear idea?

I think the flares and the black wing/roof are all part of the OEM black edition now. They don't have any special pricing on the window sticker for flare add-ons.

Weird, the Mitsu USA site shows nothing like that. The only other pic I could find after a quick search was this https://mirageforum.com/forum/showth...irage-Ralliart

Lol good lord that looks tacky. At least, IMO

The over fenders/rock guards have been available for the Mirage since at least the first facelift. I think they are only marketed in Europe, though, with the "Space Star Cross" being marketed as a compact SUV of sorts. Kinda looks the part:

I think the design is certainly polarizing. I expect many people wont like it. What I like about it is that Mitsu wasn't afraid to be quirky and do something different. Most manufacturers seem to be getting more and more conservative with designs.

I saw a review of a black edition the other day and it had the same flares. Might have to track down a set of those and cover up some rust on my car!

All but Honda. WTF are they thinking with that ultra weird Civic? What happened to the cool Hondas like the CRX with a whopping 76hp from a 1.5 I4? Funny AF how nobody *****ed about it being underpowered.

I might just be able to print those flares on my biggest printer. Done in nylon with CF fill they'll be more than strong enough. It's just tough getting needed file to print from.
