I'm donating $1 a month to [H], wouldn't mind doing the same here, especially if it got rid of the ads. (Edit: or, less intrusive ads like they have there)

I do hate ads.
And they increase loading times. The worst is when they want to reload the page several times and then reorganize the page on any given website.
Like stated earlier, places like this save many of us significant funds. I support Eric the Car Guy for the same reason.
He provided me with the information and us the confidence to hop under the hood start ripping **** out.

Most forums frown upon their use...and I would like to support the forum, despite my disdain for ads.

The adverts on this forum make me laugh on the inside:
The information contained in the collective knowledge of the forum makes up for it.

The "powers that be" aren't saying much. Thus, I would assume they like things "as is".
Some members probably wouldn't mind paying a user fee, but it would most likely be a turn off for some. I just ignore the ads.
Internet forums are free things. . lots of good things in life are free. Like with the old Yahoo forums in the 90s, free to join and you needed to pay for your internet connection and that is it, then the information superhighway is at your fingertips. Millions of people giving their 2 cents adds up to a lot of knowledge.
Now the internet is more Alexa reading wikipedia articles to you, and getting your orange juice reordered by your fridge to amazon. I think the old internet of mass knowledge was more useful than what it has become.
I'm in Canada so I get the same ads but they're all in French even though I live in Ontario doesn't matter.
Recontre 40+, so meet me I'm over 40.

Lololololol, y'all need to catch up on your memes. That's D'ontay, the Christmas elf of acceptance and lucious candy canes. Its meant as a greeting of inclusion, I mean really people c'mon. Let's try and be a little more excited about having more diversity on here, fellas jeeeeezzz.
