Sorry, my attention was diverted from the car to a significant landscape project over the long weekend. I would have much rather been working on the car, as landscaping is HARD work! God bless all the landscapers out there, hats off to you!!!

Will hopefully have time to get back to the car this weekend.... Any tips on how to know when the torque converter is seated properly?

Nothing different from a regular automatic. But just spin it around, back and forth while putting a little pressure on it making sure it clicks into place 2-3 times. As it turns the splines on the transmission will mesh with the insides of the converter. Good to know if you haven't installed one before, if you have then you already know this.

I've replaced a clutch on a manual, but haven't replaced an automatic before, so thank you!

Not too late to have an experienced professional do it. You found a used CVT already, which was the hard part. But one misstep could be catastrophic.

I figure for the price of the used cvt, I've got 3 tries to get it right! lol
