Lightning bolt stickers will usually give you about 25hp per sticker. Turbo stickers will give you the most bang for the buck, +100-300hp depending on the size and location of the sticker. Just trying to be helpful.

Here's the odd thing. When I replaced my battery last year on the 2014 Hatch it didnt quite fit and we had to use longer J hooks. This is the exact same battery I just put in the G4 and it fit right in no problem? Did 2017s get longer hooks or something?

You can always post your issue here and there are plenty of us that will give you $0.02 worth of advice. Some of it will be worth every penny!

If you had come on here a week ago and said "my battery light is flickering and my battery terminals have terrible corrosion on them" then we could have saved you a trip to the dealer or your own mechanic.

Looks like you're good to go now with that new battery!

According to my 2017 Mirage owner's manual, a factory battery is listed as 356 CCA (which isn't much).

    55D23L (356CCA/99RC) - copied/pasted directly from owner's manual.

Practically any aftermarket battery will have more CCA than that.

If you shop for a battery from a place like Auto Zone, they are going to recommend a group 35 battery. Batteries come in different sizes. Size doesn't translate to more CCA, however. The letters tacked on the 35 number are somewhat irrelevant. Most of the time the letters indicate the brand or different levels of the battery a particular companies offers. I will make the letters bold to show this.

For example @ AutoZone any of these batteries would be the same group number -

    Valucraft Battery 35-VL Group Size 35 520 CCA = $109.99 with 1-year warranty

    Duralast Battery 35-DL Group Size 35 550 CCA = $139.99 with 2-year warranty

    Duralast Gold Battery 35-DLG Group Size 35 640 CCA = $159.99 with 3-year warranty

All these batteries would be basically the same size physically. You pay extra for more cold cranking amps & warranty. Paying more for a battery is not going to make you car perform better. A more expensive battery may start your car a bit faster (especially in extreme cold weather), & it may last a bit longer. Performance-wise (while driving) you are not going to notice any difference than the wimpy 356CCA factory battery.

Some group batteries have negative/positive terminals on opposite sides, too!

This goes against all logic of Loren using a small wimpy motorcycle battery (really done to reduce weight) while racing his Mirage!

He must have wanted to give the other cars a fighting chance against his mighty Mirage?

Obviously! Once you've done those kind of mods you don't want to come across as all high and mighty. Sleeper mode (stickers on the inside of the hood). Stealth performance.

This works with Smart Cars too, they can (try to) outrun the cops in stealth mode https://www.msn.com/en-ca/video/watc...ly/vi-BB135cRG
I didn't know what to do, so I didn't do anything

Some people (like this Smart car driver) are just able to take the title "LOSER" to next level better than others!
