I have a few pictures. Tomorrow i send the replacement clock spring back to the seller. I've ordered a newer replacement clock spring, this time it's from nov. 2017. Let's see.

Here are two pictures from the original clock spring. I can make more pictures, once i received the newer replacement clock spring and swap it with the original one.

Here are some pictures of the first replacement.

The white markings in the last pictures have to be made by the seller. The original clock spring did not have those white numbers written on it.

It's always good to see a project through to it's completion, and we learn more through the ones that don't go smoothly.

Those are some great pictures, the details will without a doubt help others down the road.

    Much thanks for sharing.

It's different than mine. Yours have extra left connector, mine (2015, RHD) only have two connector on the right.

That 8651a187 is angle sensor and can be detached from clockspring, why not try to swap them?

It's working! :-) I can't believe it. Thank you very much, FreeYourSOUL!
I swapped the sensors, as you suggested and everything was working right away :-)

The only remaining bit would be the missing LED in the gauge cluster.

    Missing LED

    Hello again!

The cruise control is working fine, but the LED is missing. Today i soldered one onto the missing port on the PCB of the gauge cluster, but it turns out there is a SMD resistor missing as well.

Sadly i can't find a good enough image to read the needed value, so maybe i can meassure the voltage between the input between the + pole of the resistor port and the - pole of the LED and calculate it myself.

    Let's see.

    Hi @Johnnywhishbone,

So, How about the result of LED light Cruise control after soldering the missing LED & resistor onto the circuit board, can you share with us (the value of resistor you selected & the result). Thanks

    Hello pandafool,

i was not successful in enabling the cruise control LED.
I soldered a green SMD LED and a generic non-SMD resistor on both marked points but it did not work.

As i can't solder where my car is parked, i don't have the opportunity to meassure the needed voltage and calculate the needed values for the resistor :-(
So for now the issue is unresolved.
