These clutches need almost no pressure to disengage, so just simple footresting on the pedal will cause wear.
Exactly the same applies to an unadjusted clutch, because play decreases in time up to the point of no play. No play means the clutch is constantly being depressed and slipping, albeit by the clutch cable.
No adjustment for 50 000 miles, and it most likely will burn out.
