I live in southern Ontario, between Detroit and Buffalo basically, so lots of midwesterner snow in the winter, heatwaves in the summer. Not chinook weather like they get in Alberta, when the temps go from like 20 below to 20 above in half a day. I could not imagine that. Also not sure if that is how the weather really is out west, my old friend told me that years ago.

I’ve been having AC on about 5 days/week in the last couple months lol but I live in a small apartment with a small window AC unit so the electricity isn’t too outrageous. If I live in a bigger space with more open air area then I might be able to scope without AC

How come there is no AC in your Mirage? Did it break?

My Mirage is the basic "ES" model, so it never came with AC in the first place.

I live in Canada. I enjoy the hot weather when I can get it

    I didn’t know there’s a trim that doesn’t have AC!

Trim levels are different in Canada. All trim levels have A/C in the States, but not there.

The lower trim levels in Canada didn't get air conditioning. Some Canadian models have no rear door speakers or electric window operators either.

Some Canadian owners have complained about window fogging problems. I suspect it may have to do with not having AC but even owners with AC complain about fogging so go figure.

    Just posting this non-AC workaround...

I swear by the beaded seat cover.

We just had the hottest July on record here, and I didn't run the AC.

That said, I also don't drive in city stop & crawl. 95% of my driving is on rural scenic routes at speeds where open windows work fine for me.
