    Question Rockford Fosgate Install?

As far as I can tell, we don't have an official Rockford Fosgate subwoofer install procedure on here. I have one coming in the mail within the next week or so (the price on eBay came down to less than half of the $500-$600 that they were so I jumped on it. Weather depending, I would like to install it ASAP (Stuck in the house because of COVID so why not) but would like to know if it'd be worth it to make a tutorial or what-have-you. Doesn't really seem like many of us are interested in it. I've already replaced all the door speakers with some cheap ($25/pair) Rockford Fosgate speakers from Amazon and already the car sounds so much better. Can't wait to get the subs! Let me know what you guys think, if I should do it or not! Stay safe out there!

It comes with excellent instructions. I've done this twice and shoot, for the price that I see them for now I might be getting another unit for one of the other Mirages we have.

    Go for it!

Even though I would probably never do this, I would be curious to see some good "how-to" pics of how it is done.

Include some details on how you update the firmware in the radio. Isn't that part of the install process?

Not the radio but the amp.

The RF amp gets a different tuning based on the head unit.

Old radios get one RF amp kit.

Some touchscreen radio(s) get a different RF kit, presumably for the custom tuning specific to that model.

An RF kit for the old radio can be tuned for the touchscreen head unit by loading the appropriate file into the amp.

Does anyone want to trade Canadian Peso's for US bucks? Looks like it'd cost at least $500cad by the time it lands here.

Holy ****! I mean, I'd be willing to ship here (in the US near the border) and then ship to you, but I'm not sure that that would actually save money. Usually my Canadian friends ship here and come get it or I take it to them; but they're from Ontario so it's like ten minutes.

    So, update;
I decided to not take any pictures, because the instructions are so simple, it would be redundant... Besides, I hardly followed them (everything was self explanatory, and I didn't want to stick foam tape everywhere)

That being said, there was two spots I got a little caught up.
The wiring harness for the radio, and updating the amp.

I have a 2018 GT hatch, and behind the radio, there's maybe 4 or 5 wiring harnesses all kind of plugged into one another, before the two main plugs go into the radio. My instinct was to ignore all that, and just plug the T harness into the ends, but alas, with my radio you don't do that. You take one of the other harnesses that's already plugged into something, plug in the T harness on there, and then reattach the plug it was plugged into. Rather convoluted, but simple once you figure out which one. It was just an odd experience; you can tell the wiring harness is set up for may different configs.

    Hey.
    I'm gay.
And I'd just like to say...
    I have a spending problem.
