Rockford Fosgate Install?

The second thing I got caught up on, was the amp update.
My instructions were written FOR A DEALER, so it mentioned some tool that was shipped to all the dealers, and I need that, to hook up to the amp to figure out which version was on my amp, and update it "if not the needed details". But all that is unnecessary for a DIY install.

The other part of the firmware update process was also a bit confusing just for a lack of information, or supplies. Like I mentioned, it mentions using some machine to update everything, but I don't have that. It doesn't mention where to get the update, or anything of the sort, so I was running blind. After some googling, I found a TSB or something that mentioned where to get the update, and how to install it with any USB (instead of "THE RF USB" that seems to have also been sent to dealers.)
