After six years and rougly 60000miles or 100000km

This car is a basic "stripped-naked" 1.0L European model, now six years old and roughly 60 000miles or 100000km on it. In this area there is lots of salt on the roads. The last years there was less and less winter, and no rain in the summer. One hell of a climate, every goofy and blondie in these parts knows all about it.
Practically on day one the cavities received rattle-can wax. Same for the doors and trunk and engine compartment lid. The exhaust was de-rusted, and painted with heat-proof paint. It is not rusty today!

After a few years, both front and rear axle were de-rusted, undercoated and painted. Should have done it earlier!

You may notice there is a black rag on the dash. It serves excellently to reduce reflections in the windshield.

    Zero rust under the doors!

Nice work, foama. Your Mirage looks like it's in great shape. Goes to show that doing preventative maintenance saves you money in the long-run.

Interesting how you saved your exhaust... the thing gets so hot it deteriorates on all cars.
