    Stolen Tow Hook

Noticed my rear tow hook was stolen earlier today. I clearly remember it being on my car on Sunday so they must've stolen it on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday night.

Not entirely sure why someone would spend the time to screw off 3 bolts with 2 wrenches for an $12-18 tow hook. Especially in the low crime city and gated apartments I live.

I'm guessing a cheap Civic owner or some stupid kid?

I just setup a camera on my window to see if anyone is messing with my car.

That stinks. I hope you get it back. Do you think the thief will return?

Also, did you ever use that tow hook? Maybe you used it to rescue disabled Toyotas or Hondas.

Much less malicious but a few weeks back I got my lugnuts rubber banded. Nearly certain it was the kids next door.

Though only stupid kids would steal a tow hook... wow.

I'll never see it again. I was thinking it was someone who lives in my apartments or one of their friends. If it was a twist off I wouldn't be worried but the thief obviously has the tools to steal car parts.

My front one wasn't stolen because I Gorilla glued it and you'd need to be strong enough to take it off.

That's annoying. I hate when people mess with cars like that. I'm definitely getting a garage if I ever get a Corvette.

Having bashed my shins on tow hooks before... is it possible that someone maybe got tired of tripping over it?

I'm not sure either but all I know if you're going to "rubber band" any nuts, lugnuts would the least likely to cause permanent damage. For those of you that have ever raised cattle well there is a process to turn a bull into a steer and I'll leave it at that lol.
