Nice one-year ownership review on YouTube!

Eric from "Farmpoint Farms" shares a nice one-year ownership of his 2018 Mirage. He did a previous post when he added fog lights & cruise to Mirage ES almost a year ago, & he has done some other upgrades since then.

Sadly, car critics really miss the market appeal for this car.

That is a great owner video. Lots of positive comments too (49 as of a few mins ago).

"Would I buy it again? Yeah, definitely."

    Can't top that.

I really enjoyed this video. Thanks Mark for the upload.

I don't like how the rubber thing on the tailgate looks. It's true though that you get major scratches right there from putting stuff in and out of the trunk. My Ford Escort wagon had the same issue. I just live with it, consider that normal wear and tear.

In the comments there is the question 'Why no CB in the Mirage ?'. What is CB?

"Citizen's Band" radio. Like truckers use. Or used to use?

Ah, that is called a 'bakkie' or 27mc here. The 27MHz radio needs a huge antenna (2 meter, 6 feet or more). I haven't seen cars with that kind of antenna's for years. It was popular here in the eighties.

You won't see them too often here in the US anymore either, but they can still be useful in rural or wilderness areas where the cellphone network does reach or isn't quite as reliable.

Hey everyone! Yup, That is my little car, and I love it! The reason folks were asking about the CB radio install is that my channel does have a lot of videos related to that topic.
Here in the states there are people that still use them, but mostly as a hobby. Truck drivers still use them for traffic updates and just to chat on long drives as well.

The Mirage I have has 8800 miles on it, and other than adding a factory set of door sill scuff guards its pretty much the same as in this video. I'll be making more videos of it as we go, next up is a 10K service video where I will show how to check fluids, change the oil and rotate the tires. I'm a mechanic by trade so I have many years of experience with working on cars.
I'm glad people are enjoying the review as I've seen so many paid reviewers trash the car I felt it needed a real review to counter those.

    Take care!

As you add more video clips, I suggest adding them to this thread or start a new thread of your own. You do a nice job with your videos. You'll surely find more fan support here, too!
