There is a plethora of threads on this topic in this forum. You may want to use the search button!

A brief answer instead of starting yet another oil change thread:
Best for fuel economy would be 0W20 viscosity, no doubt about that, just make sure it is at least ILSAC GF5 quality, to ensure it is not any worse than the Mitsubishi branded brew. Look at the owners manual!

A slightly thicker oil (5W30) has been reported to reduce certain noises, but there also, make sure it is at least ILSAC GF4, or better, ILSAC GF5 quality. Current ILSAC quality standard is GF 5 which exceeds every API quality standard!

For some folks, the brand of oil has religious status!
Foremost importance is the quality of an oil, and that being as near as possible to a recommended viscosity!
The by far most stringent engine oil quality standard today is VW 50400.
You could look at the following pages for comparing qualities:

    Brown oil is best.

In the real world you'll probably notice no difference in oil viscosity vs economy unless you compare 20w50 vs 0w16. In a lab under controlled conditions is a different story.

Ow20 and 5w20 will give better fuel economy BUT if you live in hotter climates you would want to use thicker oil.
