    Hi from Thailand
Just got a 2018 mirage grey with red bits, bearing in mind I've got a merc slk in uk, I'm very happy with the mirage, whys it got such terrible reviews most criticized the o to 60 I find in the real world once your rolling, overtaking acceleration is epic for such a little engine! Mines got a body kit looks great I've just added some deep dish alloys but I've put 195-50-15s on it mistake! Now with 4 up on a bad road tyres hit the inner wings rolled the wings but still doing it so according to threads read on here 185s are the way to go until then it's a 2 seater😅ps. It's got a cvt gearbox which is as smooth as a babies bum....

Just gotta shift down, that's why I would never buy a CVT in a car like the Mirage. Sorry, I know the CVT does the same thing, maybe better even, I just find with small engines and small cars, manual suits the car best.

Edit: my opinion, and cheers from Canada

I hused to only like manual, till I got my merc, and the mirages cvt is even smoother and you've got the sport option on the gear stick but like the paddle shifts on my merc, I've never used it, must be getting old😁😁

Yea eh we are all getting old. Mercs are nice. To upgrade my ride from my Mirage, I'd get a Buick personally.. that's the next brand of car (and ride) that I want. I never want to spend money, so a used Buick is a very economical. Lots of used Buicks around with low kilometres on the cars. Just no leather! lol

If you have a chance, please upload a photo so I can see your MB. One of the Mirage Forum folks on here, itschad, sold his Mirage and bought a small Mercedes hatchback. I think it's an A-series. I forget. Anyway let's see what this diesel AMG looks like lol.

You can enjoy sports cars way more in warm countries. In Canada, what is the point? The other day when I was driving my Mirage, I had a late-60s Pontiac GTO behind me for a half hour. Those original GTOs are so nice.

Hello M3dave and welcome to the forum.

That's an impressive list of cars - a SLK, a Pontiac GTO, a Lotus Elan, and now a Mirage. Would love to see some pictures of them all - it's great fun seeing the Mirage alongside luxury & sport models.

By your forum Location I see that Pattaya is just down the road from the Mitsubishi Laem Chabang factory where the Mirage is assembled. What can you tell us about the factory and it's operations? We are excited to see the refreshed Mirage hit our shores. Any info you can provide would be appreciated.

    Again, welcome.

You have obviously owned way more cars than me.

I've only owned 3 cars in 20 years lol: 1. 1985 VW Rabbit cabrio; 1997 Ford Escort station wagon'; and now my 2014 Mitsubishi Mirage. My old girlfriend had an older Honda I drove too for a few years. I'm car crazy, but I also find cars to be kinda waste of money. I just don't have so much money that my investments are A1, and I also have the money for GTO's, Lotus', CLK diesel amg's et al.

Kudos to you for having all the balls in your court . Myself, I'd have a BMW 2002 in the garage, and a Porsche 356 rag top, and an Alfa Romeo spyder.
