Weird... the car has factory keyless entry so I wonder why someone went through the trouble of adding a car alarm.

Does factory keyless entry come with alarm or just to open and close?

I mean he lives in LA. I might have extra security too on account I'd be worried about a vagrant sleeping and defecating in my Mirage. Have you seen the tent cities out there? Skid row is alot bigger than it used to be.

Factory keyless does NOT have an alarm. The car does have an immobilizer key though so it won't start by crossing wires.

True. The homeless situation has spread to other parts of LA as well, except Beverly Hills because the rich people pay the big bucks to law enforcement to make sure no one can camp out in their sidewalks. It’s quite sad actually. When you enter Skid Row, it’s like you’re entering a different world, just one block away from new high rises and expensive condos.

Alarm is definitely a plus. It’s pretty loud too so good for when I don’t remember where I parked lol. Hope I don’t lose it though!

    You're not serious about that?!
Keyless entry means that it is easypeasy for any 14 year old to get in and drive off.
Keyless entry is the most compelling reason for installing an alarm.

They didn't give me 2 keys. I asked and was told they only had one. It's a used car dealership and not Mitsubishi so I don't think they're obligated to give me 2. Since it's just a basic key though, I hope it's not gonna cost too much for a duplicate.

Hey newtomit, keep us posted on that one about getting a key made for your Mirage, I'd be curious the cost and what goes into it. Thanks!

That's a chip key so that can be $$$ to replace. You can get a cheap extra key cut that will just unlock the car but not start the engine.
