    ETACS issue?

Hey everyone! I'm new to using ETACS. I tried using it for the first time yesterday. I downloaded it, installed the MINI VCI driver, plugged my car in, aaaaaaannd it pops up saying I drive a 2009 Mitsubishi Outlander, when I actually have a 2018 Mirage G4.

I'm just trying to enable the Foglights as I bought some aftermarkets off of eBay. What am I doing wrong? Is there another program I can use instead? I tried using MMCodingWriter but don't see a foglight option anywhere.

This is what happens upon plugging in my car and opening ETACS. I have no idea what I'm doing wrong, I just want my Foglights enabled

Look up Mitsubishi Mirage fog lights on youtube.com. Farpoint Farms has a clip showing how he did it.

Thats what I did, and this is what happened. It thinks my car is an Outlander and I have no foglight option.

Hello timmydnx2 and welcome to the forum.

While there are several forum members here who have used Earl Vadim's ETACS Decoder program, we don't provide technical support for it. Your best bet is to ask Earl Vadim himself. And it is my understanding that support is vague and confusing.

I haven't used ETACS Decoder, mostly because I don't want to jeopardize my warranty coverage. Hopefully someone with experience will chime in to help you out.

While it's not the first instance I've heard ETACS Decoder being problematic, this might be the first time I've heard it didn't recognize the vehicle. If it's any consolation, at least you got that far. Some users have trouble establishing communication with their vehicle.

How much did you pay for the program?

Earl Vadim has already made the program a pain to run - no more free tries. He closed the Forum and FB group as well.
