Who has side window vent shades?

Anybody added window vents to their Mirage hatchback? I ordered some off Amazon for $28.95 and they were junk. They didn't fit, just holding them up to the window, so I'm sending them back. Suggestions, comments, snide remarks for the best value ones? Weathertech has a nice set, but they're $100.

Ok, I got the OEM ones in yesterday. Haven't opened them yet. Any tips on the install? Anything special I should know?

    Thanks!

Yes. Ditch the ridiculous pictogram instructions they come with. Measure about 2mm from the rear edge of the front window frame to locate the front vent shades horizontally, and measure about 2mm from the front edge of the rear window frame to locate the rears horizontally. Like this...

The included clips, which go under the weatherstripping, will locate all four vertically. There are 3-4 individual pieces of 3M tape holding each shade on. Of courses, you want to do surface prep with the alcohol pads they provide.

Peel the red plastic off of an end of each of piece to form a 'flag' which sticks out past the vent shade. This will allow you to stick the shade on lightly to make sure the shade is in the right place before you tape it on completely. Once you are sure it is right, grab the flags and peel the rest of the red plastic out from under the shade. Then press the contact areas to make sure the tape fully adheres. Not sure if you have any experience with 3M trim tape, but once it is stuck on, it ain't going anywhere.

The instructions Mitsubishi includes have you doing all sorts of weird measuring and doing things with masking tape. Should take about 20 minutes to install them this way.

I have installed 3-4 sets of these.
