175/65r14 is easier to find but reduces mpg.
Is there any other advantage/disadvantage between 165 and 175?
165's are what comes with a new Mirage. At least the base ES models. I find when I enter "Mirage" and "2014" on any tire website, 165-14 is what comes up for my ES Mirage. So, I have stuck with that, and always gotten really great MPGs. You're never gonna be driving the Indianapolis speedway with your Mirage, so might as well get the tire most designed for your Mirage. People will say the GT comes with 15 inch tires. Still I would start with 14 165's. Maybe a set of used ones, but beware they wear out fast so look closely at the thread.
