I keep overlooking the obvious things to start with.

The display will read " " but the car is still in drive. Hopefully this will be fixed when I pick my Mirage up next week.

As already stated, a clunk or lurch when stopped or almost stoped is unfortunately normal. Hold the brake pedal harder is my fix. https://mirageforum.com/forum/showth...when-stopping)

If the dealer didn't do the proper magic relearn after the install, I'd like to think it'd learn itself after a while. How long ago was the new cvt installed? A day, 6 months...?

I wasn't gonna say anything cause the op doesn't answer relevant questions. I'm gonna assume the transmission was installed 26 years ago? Or did I miss the answer, reading is overrated.

Is it bad for the brakes to hold the pedal harder? I was told it was.

    Nope.

Lmao, this transmission had really been pissing me off so I was typing and reading as fast as I could in this thread. The new CVT was installed 2 months ago, new control module installed a couple weeks ago. The ABS/Traction Control has not come back on again, so I'm just hoping it will go away. The over-shifting into Reverse problem is fixed; dealership replaced a broken bushing in the shifter. The shift shock is back, so I'm just accepting that it's how this car drives. I've been giving thought at putting a manual in, but only if the dealership would do it for free (doubt it). I'm not so upset by this anymore because I've now learned it's normal for CVTs especially in cheap economy cars.

Are all your brake lights working? Using led bulbs back there? If so take them out and put normy ones back in.
Nothing in port, all lights working, all stock.
