    Cool exhaust

I'm new to this "tuner" "import" whatever it's classified. I've always despised the "fart can" mufflers making cars sound like weed whackers on steroids, however owning one of these cars I want a "fart can". I am unsure of where to start, and was hoping someone here would have a good recommendation towards one that works on this car without breaking the bank. I want it to have a good rumble without being excessively loud, I run 3,000+ rpm on the freeway.

    Any constructive input is appreciated.

    -Billy

    Welcome.
Since from the cat back the mirage doesn't actually have a muffler and is straight pipe, there isn't much to gain from an exhaust system. You may lose power with having a big cannon exhaust.
If you want a bit more power you can purchase the hotpipe headers from speedlab in the phillipines for $285 usd. They have a gain in the high rpm.
Also they sell an intake system and ecu flash which all up gives around 15hp over stock.
I have the intake so far and plan on getting the other two soon.

Thank you for the update, I was unaware it was more or less a straight pipe. I suppose I am good with what I have, I was just looking for a noisy exhaust without being a leak. I suppose I'll have to upgrade the horn to get loudness, lol.

I highly recommend the speedlab intake. I put it on and it is now has a very good induction sound.

The exhaust is indeed quite hopeless to replace

Sounds awesome!!. Have you seen a change in mpg with the intake on the car? I'm trying to convince my wife to let me order the intake from speedways but she won't let me until he gets proof it won't drop mpg's lol
