Hi everyone, I just got my 2019 Space Star new two weeks ago and it has been working great and I've driven it around 600km so far (200km of this was on the trip home from picking it up). I really love this little car, it has everything I need.
Today I washed it for the first time and upon doing so I noticed a small dent in the bottom right of the rear bumper. I think it happened while it was parked outside a few days ago during a very strong storm that resulted in some decent-sized hail falling for about 10 minutes. I checked it the following morning and didn't find any damage, but the bumper dent is small enough that I could have missed it. Or someone hit me while I was parked in the the garage or on the street.
I know cars will get dents, dings, and scratches during their lifetime (my old car had plenty) and this dent isn't that noticeable. But, this is my first new car in over 20 years and I had it barely for two weeks and it already has its first battle scar. It's a little bit of a bummer.
I've attached some photos of the dent - would this be possible to fix/pop out? I'm thinking I could, but it almost looks like the plastic was compressed/melted so I'm not sure if there is a DIY that would work. I intend on keeping this car for a long time and would rather not make an insurance claim so soon, so if anyone has any recommendations for a fix I'd be grateful. Thanks!
