This is very juvenile but .......

This is very juvenile but this is my 16-yr old daughter's Mirage at the end of the day. I just kinda helped her introduce to automotive world and been showing her do basic maintenance and she's been willing to learn.

In any event, a little "disco" lights in the Mirage will make this mundane car a little more interesting. Got these lights from Amazon and for 14$ I'm blown away. All the lighting settings are controlled by an app on her phone.

That's cool as hell, but looks like it would be a major distraction when driving. Is it tied to the dome light so that it's not normally on when you're driving?
    Simplify and add lightness.

No. It plugs into the 12volt power outlet with manual power switch and the mic detects the music beat.

I'd consider teen-proofing it by hard wiring it to either the dome light switch, or the door switch. Something cool to do when you're parked... Not when driving.

I have installed LED lights myself. They're pretty cool but can be annoying if they're flashing or not on the purple/dark blue setting.

I would rather have some type of protective force field installed that protects my 16-year daughter from any boys (while driving or parked)!

Beyond that - it's better to not say anything sometimes!

I hope your daughter loves her Mirage. I wish these cars were around when I was her age. A Chevy Chevette needed a lot more help than cool interior lights!

I agree 100%. 16yr old drivers especially, do not need any other distractions behind the wheel.
