It's all good And guess what? That hesitation from 1st to 2nd l mentioned before? lt's gone either the full synthetic oil fixed the shifting problem or the wear materials are finally gone...either way...very happy

FYI - Your manual transmission has its own separate fluid.

I changed my manual transmission oil @ 30,000 miles. I may do 60,000 miles changes in the future. Many forum members are using Redline, because they make the proper oil grade for our Mirage. It's a bit costly, but you only need 2 quarts to do the job (1.7 quarts to be exact). It's an easy job on a manual, & no filter is required.

That's why I made the interesting comment & brought up what I did. I still think the manuals get a little better over time. I own things where it is the same fluid, however. My old Honda ATV would be an example of that. Motorcycles would be another.

Plus manuals cost less to maintain than automatics and more durable in terms of less moving parts.

Cheaper to buy, too!

I'm 57, & all of my personal vehicles have been manuals. It's my first sort when shopping for vehicles. In today's market, that alone sorts out quite a few vehicles.

True, very hard to find manuals for sale, just requires patience...the other car l really wanted to get was a 2015 Honda civic 2dr SI....but my insurance was high cause l'm 24, and all of the ones l found that were in mint condition were gone as well

That's a bummer! I can see where that could easily happen to anyone.

I made some simple ramps like the ones in the attached pic. Mine aren't as tall, however. Now that I have a Fumoto valve installed and I do the oil filter from the top, & I don't need much room under the car. A slight lift is good enough.

Yeah when l overshot the ramps l went down hard and knew l bent something...my heart dropped as l thought l bent the axels or drivetrain...could have been much worse though.
