Question What is this connection for?

So got me a 2013 MY14 ES Auto (AUS Model), checked the lights, saw this cable:

That might be for the Flux Capacitor. In the North American market it is believed to be mounted to the firewall though we have no confirmed sightings.

    OH: and to clarify...

"PASSENGER fog light cover" location is left side of vehicle, I assume.

Since front passengers sit on opposite sides of the car in different countries!

I just checked a 2015 and it has the same 4wire plug tapped to the harness coming off the underhood fuse box.

Correct, here in AUS, we are right-hand-drive.

To be fair, I haven't checked the service manual, yet.

In the 2015 service manual circuit and configuration diagrams it shows a square 4 pin connector at that spot (red, violet, yellow brown) called "spare" (connector A-108). At the other end of those wires is a 4 pin connector up high in the dashboard behind the gauges (left hand drive) also called "spare" (connector C-221). I guess you could use them for anything if you can manage to get to the end up behind the dashboard.

I think I read somewhere it's for the optional electric supercharger.
