    Smile Hello!

I have recently purchased a 2019 Mirage ES (Sapphire Blue) and so far I am loving the car! I am a firm believer in doing preventive maintenance and hope to have this car for a long time. I hope I can contribute to this forum and community in a positive and useful way.

    Welcome!

What were you driving before? Did it last a long time?

I was driving a 2009 Hyundai Accent sedan. I was not too impressed with Hyundai quality, or lack thereof. As soon as the extended warranty expired, the engine failed. I was relegated to using transit after this, until the pandemic hit and transit cuts necessitated buying a car again!

Hi there, I am from Canada too eh, and have been driving my Mirage over 6 years now.

People on here probably find me annoying to make this point again and again, but get your Mirage Krown rust controlled or proofed. Otherwise good car overall. I don't think my Mirage would last 6 winters without professional oil spray proofing, and still be in good shape.

Overall I like my Mirage hatch. I can nag about a few minor things yes. But the Mirage has personality.

Luckily, spiritorb lives in The Land That Rust Forgot! (BC?)

That's a bummer about the blown engine.
