I saw on CP24 TV channel of all places the other day, that "Mitsubishi Motors lost 57% of sales" in 2020. So really, all their plans are now in question.
Mitsu started building that refreshed Mirage hatch and G4 just this year I think... so I can't see them axing Mirage's entirely. Who knows though. Because Mitsubishi has said in other statements, that that they are done building car cars. They are like Ford.
Mitsubishi is a big mystery.

There are rumors that Mitsubishi will retire completely from the European market - only the Space Star and the L200 will be sold until end of 2021, all other models (the SUVs) won't be available from next month.
According to the rumors, Mitsubishi will concentrate on the South East Asia market in the future.

If I had to bet, I'd say the 6th gen Mirage is the last one we'll see in North America.
So, facelift next year, a couple more of years of sales. Finito as a 2022 model? Something like that. Retire as a 10 year-old platform, along the lines of the Lancer.
Maybe they'll recycle the name on a small CUV or EV at some point in the future, if the company sticks around long enough.
