    SDA 8741A001 for Mitsubishi

    Hi everyone.
Does anyone tried to install the radio from Mitsubishi Outlander part # 8741001?
It does fit many Mitsubishi models with sight wire harness modification, especially for the microphone.

I installed one into my 2019 Outlander Sport. It wasn't the most fun because the Outlander Sport wasn't prewired for the microphone up in the headliner so I had to get a harness from one to add to it.

Thanks for replying. I installed on the 2019 Outlander Es and the car was pretty much prewired. I had to install the microphone itself, the gps antenna and the new usb cable. Is your OS base model, do you have the harness pictures?
I also installed on 2014 OS base model. I only had to rewire the microphone wires behind the radio. Plus cheap gps antenna and solder the usb.

Looks like, I haven't tried, though. The aftermarket antenna costs about $10.

My Outlander Sport is the ES with a manual, so the basic trim. I had to add the wires up to the microphone which I did by ripping apart a Lancer harness and some other pins from something and added them to the harness that runs up to the dome light. I used an aftermarket Sirius XM antenna that's a little black box that's magnetically attached to the roof. Had to also change the USB ports with the right ones for the radio. Added the microphone and the GPS antenna. It sucked but it was doable.

And yes, non base models of everything that they sell here in the US that's not a Mirage have Sirius XM.

Thanks...I was beginning to wonder if Mirages now came with XM.

I have done this on my wife's MY13 Outlander, mic, rearview (backup) camera, and CAN connections needed rewiring.

I am willing to bet that there will be a MASSIVE rewiring to make it work as properly as possible on the mirage.

First of, officially supported vehicles are Outlander, PHEV, Pajero, Sport (too?), and Lancer (can't confirm), based on its service settings.
Second, to have the mirage to talk to the built in CAN module in it.
Third, re-wiring of the mic as this as a built in hands-free module and bluetooth, unlike other (old?) bluetooth radio.
Fourth, possibly might be able to get away with having the steering wheel control works, assuming that the mirage uses the same Resistances(?) for the buttons, but with also need re-wiring.
Fifth, most definitely rewiring of speakers connections.

How can I say this? the SDA uses multitudes of connections:
20 pin connector for the CAN and speakers and illumination
8 pin connector for the camera
18 pin connector for the inputs (can't confirm)
    16 pin connector for mic
    separate GPS module
seprate HDMI connection (if you have the hdmi version)
separate usb cable (i believe the mirage uses a different socket, but could be rewire)
dab antenna and/or module (if you want dab)
note that not all pins are used, look for the pinouts for it.

And that's another thing, you need to make sure to buy a radio that has the connectors included.

Instead of this, I would probably be looking at the official mirage radio:
    https://translate.google.com/transla...%3D1&sandbox=1

Hoping this too would be plug and play, with least amount of rewirings needed.

    Good luck.

    P.S.
    re-wiring for me means, yes, re-wiring and/or re-pinning

Was quite a while ago now, sorry. I had wiring diagrams for the radio and for the Outlander Sport and ripped wiring out of a 2012 Lancer in the junkyard to make it work. It was not fun and I don't recommend it.
