Reviewer Steve Purdy offers up a fair and thorough review of the top level Mirage ES with CVT -- he keeps the car's mission in mind.
One mistake jumped out at me -- after commenting on fuel economy he got on a highway trip, he says "the coefficient of drag must be well into the .30s", which it isn't. (I commented. )
Pros:
- surprisingly well equipped for the price
- fuel economy "amazing ... considering it has no hybridization or gimmickry"
- interior materials better than were expected; fit & finish quite good
- interior styling plain but functional
- decent interior room & cargo space
- comfortable ride
- get the manual transmission for driving fun
Cons:
- CVT saps fun from driving
- plain styling
- slow acceleration, "But, that kind of performance is not what this car is about."
- won't mistake handling as sporty
- wind noise/whistle on the highway
- "dismal" navigation system
Overall:
