EPS (electric power steering)


This system is very useful for city driving

But I feel anxious while driving on the highway
So I decided to reprogram it
So I ask my friends if someone has experience in this field
Where found

(EPS type) in ETACS contains 15 type

Please help me choose the type that works with low speeds and does not work at high speeds

The original mode is type 2

I haven't tried messing with the eps settings. Not sure it'll even change anything.

I remember seeing that setting in ETACS as well, but I never tried to change it. Have you noticed any difference in the different settings? (I mean, does it actually change anything?)

It'd be really cool if I could completely turn off EPS, I don't need it at low speeds and I can +1 your feeling about it at high speeds -- Feels like it's over-correcting too much when I'm barely touching the wheel.

Seems like that would make steering really heavy for parking.

A few minutes parking here or there vs. hours & hours of highway driving - I would take the improvement on highway driving.

My 1990 Ford Festiva that I drove for 14 years didn't have power steering. It handled better than the Mirage on the highway. Never remember it being hard to park either. These are lightweight cars with small tires.
