Congratulations! Looks like your Mirage is breaking in nicely. How’s everything? Any problems?

Thank God, no problems so far! THANK YOU

just fighting with the stealership ... was told when i purchased didn't need oil change until 5k miles (synthetic oil), but now they email me and tell me i need it done now due to our area being severe and lots of heat. (I am at the 3 month mark) ... i'm only 1700 miles so far, but will go get it done as I hear (which i thought was a myth) there could be metal in there due to being new.

Don't want to do anything bad that could ruin the warranty ... in case I need it

not going to the stealership to do it though.

Every oil change I've done I've always done it myself... but if you know a mechanic that you really trust have them do it than the dealership. That's part of the reason why I do stuff on my own as I don't trust any of the mechanics in my area...Except 1 and he doesn't want to work on my car because it's brand new and from the dealer.

Edit: Oh, make sure that when you get your oil changed done you have receipts! That way you go can go to the dealership and prove that you've gotten it done

Just make sure they understand it's only 3.2 quarts for the oil change. There have been instances where shops & even a Mitsubishi dealer have overfilled with 5 quarts.

The company I work for is in the town I live in. It's 3.6 miles from home. It's not like city driving, but it's not like rural driving either. It's going through a school zone, then some traffic, a couple traffic lights then a short run at 55 mph. It is not good for mpg. I'm probably only ever going to be able to hit upper 30's on my commute. But if all the right conditions are met, I can go from driveway to work in a few seconds under 5 minutes, and vice-versa. So it has its advantages.

However, your 51 mpg number is awesome. According to my math that's about 47.1 real world mpg. At least in my car.
