I'm using the fuel consumption on the dash + when i do the math mileage driving vs how many liter I put in the tank.
All the number have increase on mpg.
I check the top of the housing , there is no leak.
Does the fuel pump have a pressure setting valve are something like that?

By the way, the car use more gas, I tried for fun the top speed, because if it use more fuel, it will go faster, well... on "close road" I hit
180km/h at the speedometer when i used to reach max 175.

    it's fixed.
So before bring it back to Mitsubishi, I wanted to check be myself what's going on.
This happen just after they replace the full pump housing. I remove the seat and the cover to access to the pump. My idea was to remove the pump and check if the fuel pump regulator wasn't bend or damaged during the work.
I disconnect both, the fuel pump and the leveler, remove the fuel hoses, but at this point I didn't the special tool to open it( tried a bit with a screw driver and the hammer but didn't work).
I reconnect everything and Bham.... all number align as they suppose to be.

Any body had an idea on how a bad connection can increase the fuel mileage that much?

Ya, I hate to be THAT guy but aren't all emission systems mandated in the US to be functional for 100,000 miles or 7 years? You can't tell me the fuel pump is not part of the gas fume emission system. Hell, that was even the reason the car failed the test! I'd be in small claims court getting my $1100 back and pronto.
